But I said I’m the Leader

This is a statement that I’ve heard my 6 year old say again and again.  The sad part is that I’ve seen to many people try to live out this saying.  I know that you have heard the saying, “If you have to say that you are the leader then you are leading no one.”

Please remember that leadership is a gift, a responsibility, and most importantly something you can’t just claim but that is earned.  I’m grateful that right now in my life I get lead a company that has a very promising future.  I’m also as happy to say that I get to work with a company that I don’t call myself the leader.  I get to learn a lot in both cases.

Don’t be the person who says, “But I said I’m the leader.”

Good points. It’s not about the position we hold, but we should be serving selflessly. It is a huge responsibility but also a privilege.
