What conversations do you need to have today?
This is the 20th book in the series Learning Together and Leading Together where we are going through the Personal MBA plan curated by Josh Kaufman. Our goal is to get through 99 books this year. Do we read the whole book? Nope. We digest the summary(s) of the book and I give my thoughts and you give your thoughts. Feel free to follow along and comment if you would like.
The best summary I found on this book was by WikiSummaries.org and is quoted below.
WikiSummaries.org says this about Crucial Conversations:
This book is very practical. So practical that it makes it very challenging. It made me think throughout my career when I shied away from conversations or avoided topics with people because I did not have the proper perspective. I wish I would have understood these principles when I was 23 not 35.
This book is also critical to understand not only in business but in your personal life. I got married when I was 21 years old. The first year of marriage was very tough because of multiple reasons but it had a lot to do with not having crucial conversations. Communication is vital and this book helps out in this area for sure.

Again I ask, what conversation do you need to have today?
