Free Thought Friday: Finding Your Voice

Written by  //  February 12, 2010  //  Personal  //  No comments

I overheard a table discussion at lunch today.  It went something like this:

Person 1: Do you know that guy over there?
Person 2: Yes. He is all about Twitter.
Person 1: Are you on Twitter?
Person 2: No. I don’t feel like I have anything to say.

That last sentence made me a little bit sad when I heard the person say that. Why?  Because sometimes I find myself in that last sentence.  I’ve even had a hard time this year with my voice on this blog.  Sometimes I don’t have anything to say or I’ve lost my voice. I know that’s hard for some of you to imagine. I’ve been revived lately though.

Let me give you a heads up.  I feel like I’m finding my voice again.  I’ve been working really hard on some projects that will come to light this year and I can’t wait to tell you about them. OK not yet but you will hear about them soon.  It really is exciting.

New projects, new ventures, new in general helps my voice.  Maybe that’s why I like technology so much?  It always seems to be new.

Do you ever have this problem of losing your voice?  What in your life helps you find it again?
