Friday Giveaway: Jim Wideman’s New Book – Stretch
Written by Matt McKee // September 2, 2011 // Fun Stuff // 16 Comments
UPDATE: Congrats to both Vanessa and Crystal for winning a copy of Jim Wideman’s book Stretch. Thanks for everyone who entered.
Have you read any of Jim Wideman’s books on ministry, volunteers, or even time management? If you haven’t then I think you should. They are very practical, inspiring, and challenging all at the same time. They are must reads if you are in Children’s Ministry for sure.
Well today I am glad that I get to give his latest book “Stretch” to someone for FREE. Stretch is about how to grow a church in attendance but also how to grow the leaders in that church to be ready for the added people. Jim’s current church has doubled in attendance in the last 4 years from 4,000 to 8,000 people on a weekend. This is a great book.

I would love to be able to take our multisite campus to the next level but feel like I’m in that maintaining stage. Wanting to encourage people to serve so we will ve prepared to grow when God sees fit to grow us.
As a Children’s Pastor, I’m looking to absorb anything that will take the ministries I’m responsible for, as well as my leaders and church to the next level. It’s a desperate battle, Jim’s books are a fantastic resource!
