I have 2 very close friends who are hiring Children’s Ministry directors or Preschool directors right now. Both are at incredible churches and have great teams that are healthy. Both are in towns that I could see myself living in for sure. Why are they having a hard time finding the right people to fill those positions? Are you looking to be a children’s pastor at a growing church in a great town? On another note, I get emails, phone calls, and texts at least every week of someone who has been referred to me that is looking for a new opportunity. That opportunity they are looking for is as a senior pastor, teaching pastor, technology pastor, children’s pastor, and who knows what else. You would think by now that I would have started a company that helps find people who are looking for candidates and helps candidates find jobs. Well believe it or not I think that there are already some great companies out there that do this in the ministry space. They do a great job but you have to pay them a good chunk of change. As much as I like connecting people to opportunities I don’t think this is what I want to do as a profession. I love being the guy who knows someone but I don’t want the responsibility of placing that someone. So why am I writing this post? To simply say this, if you are someone looking for an opportunity then check in with me because you never know what I might be able to connect you with. If you are looking for great people then I try to surround myself with the best. At the end of the day though don’t expect me to place you with the right person every time. So feel free to reach out anytime.
