Sign Wednesday: The #churchsigns hashtag

I’ve been writing and displaying bad church signs for years now. I’ve even tried to start a campaign about stopping all church signs that are changeable. Well it seems that I’m not the only one who thinks that church signs need an overhaul. If you didn’t know, there is a hashtag on twitter, #churchsigns, that you can follow that displays all of the ridiculousness that is around the world. It makes me sad, mad, and a little depressed that the church is known for its really bad signs. So if you are up for a good laugh or a good cry then you too can start following along.
By the way, we really do need to change this branding problem that we have as a church overall. Prime example, this phrase isn’t helping anyone:
“Exposure to sun causes burning. Exposure to the Son prevents burning”
